Samsung has acknowledged that a next-generation Galaxy Ring is in development, but it has not announced a release date. An early-2027 reveal is rumored in a report relayed by Android Central—not a confirmed Samsung launch schedule.
When is the Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 coming out?
There is no confirmed Galaxy Ring 2 release date. Android Central relayed an EtNews report saying Samsung may skip 2026 and unveil the next-generation ring in early 2027. Treat that timing as a rumor: Samsung has not confirmed either the year or a launch window. Read Android Central’s report.
Has Samsung confirmed the Galaxy Ring 2?
Samsung executive Hon Pak, the company’s Senior Vice President and Head of the Digital Health Team, reportedly said the next-generation ring is in development. He did not provide a timeline or confirm a feature list. Android Authority reports his comments came in an interview with Forbes, rather than in a Samsung product announcement. Read Android Authority’s coverage.
In the reported interview, Pak said that sensors across competing rings are not very different, and emphasized the role of software and services. That suggests Samsung sees software as an important area of differentiation; it does not establish what the next ring will do.

What upgrades are rumored?
The EtNews report, as relayed by Android Central, says Samsung may be working on temperature sensors, more accurate sleep data, improved comfort, and broader cardiovascular insights. These are reported development priorities, not announced specifications. Samsung has not confirmed which, if any, will appear in a retail product.
Other details circulating in leak roundups—including Bluetooth 6.0, NFC payments, a week-long battery, colors, and a $400 price—also lack confirmation from Samsung in the cited coverage. SamMobile’s roundup discusses these as speculative claims; they should not be treated as final specifications or pricing.

Will the Galaxy Ring 2 work with iPhone?
Samsung has not confirmed iPhone compatibility. Pak reportedly responded to a question about iPhone support by saying, “I’m smiling, but I can’t say anything,” and that people might be pleased by upcoming news. Those remarks are suggestive but do not amount to a compatibility announcement. Android Authority’s report covers the comments.

The first-generation Galaxy Ring is the only product with confirmed features in the available Samsung announcements. Samsung says it integrates health insights with Samsung Health and includes a charging case. Its battery estimate is up to six days for sizes 5–11 and up to seven days for sizes 12–15, based on Samsung’s stated test conditions; actual battery life varies. These are claims for the existing ring, not a forecast for its successor. See Samsung’s product announcement.
