Samsung has not confirmed Galaxy Buds On as a retail product. In a September 14, 2026 report, TechRadar said information found by Samsung fan site SammyGuru in Samsung’s Buds Manager app pointed to clip-style, open-ear earbuds under that name. The features below are leak claims, not finalized specifications.
What are the Samsung Galaxy Buds On?
Galaxy Buds On is the name used in recent reporting about a rumored pair of Samsung clip-style earbuds. TechRadar attributed the product details to information SammyGuru found in Samsung’s Buds Manager app; the report did not cite a Samsung announcement. There is no confirmed retail product or official specification sheet established by the sources reviewed.
The reported clip-style, open-ear design would sit at or around the ear rather than seal the ear canal like conventional in-ear earbuds. That could leave more ambient sound audible, but it also raises questions about sound delivery and noise isolation. Those are category tradeoffs discussed in the report, not results from hands-on testing of Galaxy Buds On. The report does not establish that the earbuds have noise cancellation.
What features do the Galaxy Buds On have?
TechRadar’s September 14, 2026 report describes the following possible features, based on the leak it attributes to SammyGuru. Samsung has not confirmed that they will appear in a shipping product.

- Voice assistant activation: The leak reportedly points to spoken-phrase or touch activation for Gemini or Bixby.
- Voice memo recording: A touch gesture could reportedly start recording a voice memo.
These claims do not establish how the controls would work in practice, whether both assistants would be available in every market, or whether the features would remain in a final release.
Are Galaxy Buds On available yet?
No confirmed purchase availability or Samsung launch date is established. TechRadar called the release date unconfirmed in its September 14, 2026 report; October 2026 and 2027 appeared only as possibilities and speculation, not as Samsung’s plans. The report also does not establish a price or availability by country.

Battery life, codec support, water resistance and an official model number are likewise not stated in the reviewed sources. Treat listings or specifications elsewhere as unverified unless Samsung confirms them.
Does the Galaxy Buds app confirm support?
No. Samsung’s Galaxy Store listing describes the general Galaxy Buds app as offering device settings and a status view for Galaxy Buds, but it does not mention Buds On or confirm compatibility with the rumored model. The listing says users on Android 15 or lower need Galaxy Wearable installed because the Buds app is a component of it; that general note should not be treated as a Buds On compatibility requirement.

A clip-style, open-ear design trades an in-ear seal for a different fit around the ear. That can matter if you want to remain aware of nearby sounds, but ambient noise may also compete with what you are listening to. Without a seal, sound delivery and isolation can differ from in-ear earbuds; the reported design alone does not tell us how well Buds On will perform.

For a meaningful comparison once Samsung confirms the product, look for verified details on fit and attachment, sound delivery, ambient awareness, noise isolation, call controls, volume adaptation, assistant access, battery life, water resistance, device and app compatibility, price, and availability. TechRadar names Shokz OpenDots One and Bose Ultra Open as products in the broader open-ear category, but its report does not provide comparable test results or full specifications for Buds On.
