Historical launch prices are not current offers
Samsung’s 2025 India launch announcement listed the A36 at ₹32,999 for 8 GB / 128 GB, ₹35,999 for 8 GB / 256 GB and ₹38,999 for 12 GB / 256 GB. Samsung’s 2025 F36 launch announcement listed ₹17,999 for 8 GB / 128 GB and ₹20,999 for 8 GB / 256 GB; its 6 GB / 128 GB introductory price was ₹16,499, including a ₹1,000 introductory offer. These figures describe historical launch pricing and should not be treated as today’s prices.
When checking a deal, compare the same RAM and storage configuration. The F36’s introductory 6 GB / 128 GB price is not a like-for-like comparison with an A36 8 GB / 128 GB listing.
Which phone has the better display and design?
Both phones have a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate in Samsung’s published specifications. The A36 launch materials state up to 1200 nits and stereo speakers. Samsung highlights Vision Booster on the F36 but does not provide the same peak-brightness figure in the cited material, so these claims do not support a direct brightness ranking.
The published dimensions show a small physical difference: Samsung lists the F36 at 164.4 × 77.9 × 7.7 mm and 197 g, while Smartprix lists the A36 at 162.9 × 78.2 × 7.4 mm and 195 g. Samsung describes the F36’s rear finish as leather-style. Measurements alone cannot establish which phone will feel more comfortable in your hand.

Performance: Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 vs Exynos 1380
The A36 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3; the F36 uses Samsung’s Exynos 1380. Samsung’s launch materials mention vapor-chamber cooling for both models. The chipset names identify different hardware platforms, but no independent head-to-head benchmark, sustained-gaming measurement or real-world comparison is established here. Choose based on your workload and reliable testing of the exact models rather than assuming one chip is faster from its name alone.
Camera differences
Samsung specifies a 50 MP triple rear-camera system for the A36, while Smartprix lists its modules as 50 MP, 8 MP and 5 MP. Samsung’s F36 specifications list 50 MP, 8 MP and 2 MP, with optical image stabilization (OIS) on the main camera. On these listed specifications, the A36’s macro camera has the higher stated resolution.
Samsung lists a 13 MP front camera for the F36 and a 12 MP front camera for the A36 on the comparison specifications. Samsung’s launch material says the F36 supports 4K recording with both front and rear cameras; its A36 announcement describes 10-bit HDR front recording. These feature and resolution differences do not prove which phone takes better photos or video. No controlled camera comparison is established here.
Battery, charging and durability
Samsung gives both phones a 5000 mAh typical battery capacity. Its F36 specification page notes that typical capacity is an estimated average under third-party laboratory conditions and gives a rated minimum of 4855 mAh. The A36 is rated for 45 W charging, compared with 25 W for the F36. Those wattage ratings indicate supported charging power; they do not establish a particular charging time or how long a battery lasts between charges.

The clearest protection distinction is the published rating: Samsung specifies IP67 dust and water resistance and Gorilla Glass Victus+ for the A36. The retrieved official F36 material confirms Gorilla Glass Victus+ but does not establish an IP rating. That is a difference in documented specifications, not proof that the F36 has no water resistance.

Samsung’s 2025 India launch announcements promise six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates for both phones. Samsung’s F36 product page gives a specific security-update period ending 31 December 2031; the cited A36 sources do not give an equivalent calendar end date.
Choose the Galaxy A36 5G if
- You value Samsung’s published IP67 dust- and water-resistance rating.
- You want the higher 45 W charging specification.
- The A36’s listed 5 MP macro camera or 10-bit HDR front-recording feature better fits your priorities.
Choose the Galaxy F36 5G if
- Its current price is meaningfully lower for the same RAM and storage capacity.
- You want the shared large 120 Hz AMOLED display and typical 5000 mAh battery at a lower price.
- You prefer its leather-style finish or its stated front-and-rear 4K recording support.
There is no established test-based performance, battery-life or camera winner between these models. For most buyers, compare live prices for matching configurations first; then decide whether the A36’s documented IP67 rating and faster rated charging justify any remaining price gap.
