The Galaxy A37’s clearest advantages over the Galaxy A26 are 45W charging instead of 25W and an IP68 rating instead of IP67. Their headline display size, refresh rate and battery capacity are the same, while camera specifications are mostly similar. In the cited US price references, the A37 launched at $449.99 and Samsung’s March 2026 MSRP sheet listed a 128GB unlocked A26 at $299.99—but that A26 SKU is marked EOL, so the $150 difference is not a confirmed current price gap.

What changes in everyday use?
Charging: A37 has the higher rated speed
Samsung lists 45W charging for the A37 and 25W for the A26. The A37 UK product page says it can reach up to 60% in 30 minutes with Super Fast Charging 2.0 and a compatible charging setup. That is a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee for every charger or use condition. Both phones have a listed 5,000mAh typical battery capacity; these specifications alone do not establish which lasts longer in real use.
Water and dust protection: IP68 versus IP67
The A37 is rated IP68 and the A26 IP67. These are ingress-protection ratings, not permission to use either phone carelessly around water. The exact limits and conditions behind a rating matter, so neither should be described as waterproof for unrestricted use.

Cameras: a higher-resolution macro camera on A37
Both models list a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide. The A37’s macro camera is 5MP, compared with 2MP on the A26. Samsung lists a 13MP front camera for A26 and a 12MP one for A37. Megapixel counts describe resolution, not overall photo quality; the available specifications do not establish which phone takes better pictures.
Display, storage and support: largely similar on paper
Samsung lists the same 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with up to 120Hz and the same typical battery capacity for both. Its stated software commitment is up to six OS or One UI upgrade generations and six years of security updates, with the wording varying by model. “Up to” is not an exact support end date; check Samsung’s policy for the specific model and market. The comparison lists 6GB RAM and 128GB storage for each, but other configurations may be offered locally.

How much more does the A37 cost?
There is no single current price difference that applies everywhere. Samsung’s cited US figures are different kinds of references, and the A26 entry is explicitly marked EOL.
| Market and reference | Phone and configuration | Price | What the figure means |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States, Samsung launch announcement | Galaxy A37 5G, starting price | $449.99 | Samsung said US availability began April 9, 2026; this is the announced starting price, not a live retailer quote. |
| United States, Samsung MSRP sheet effective March 2026 | Galaxy A26 5G, unlocked 128GB, model SM-A266UZKAXAA | $299.99 | Listed as EOL; Samsung says prices can change without notice. It does not confirm current stock or street price. |
| South Korea, Samsung launch release | Galaxy A37 5G, domestic launch | KRW 598,400 | Samsung Korea announced this price ahead of domestic launch on June 19, 2026. It is not directly comparable with US prices. |
| United Kingdom | A26 and A37 | Not stated in the cited sources | Samsung UK provides product specification pages, but these sources do not establish contemporaneous UK prices. |
On the two US reference prices, the arithmetic difference is $150. Because the A26 entry is an EOL MSRP listing rather than a current retail quote, treat that as a comparison of references—not as proof the A37 currently costs $150 more. Samsung’s A37 launch details are in its US announcement; the A26 figure is in the March 2026 Samsung Electronics America MSRP sheet. Samsung Korea’s announcement is available in its Korean launch release.

Choose the A37 if its extras justify the local price
- You want the faster listed 45W charging.
- You prefer the higher IP68 ingress-protection rating.
- You value the A37’s 5MP macro camera specification or are buying the newer model, and its verified local price fits your budget.
Consider the A26 if it is substantially cheaper and available from a reliable seller
- You are comfortable with 25W charging and an IP67 rating.
- You find a genuine, condition-appropriate listing at a materially lower price than the A37.
- You verify the exact configuration, warranty and seller, especially because Samsung’s cited US 128GB unlocked MSRP entry is marked EOL.
Samsung’s specifications do not establish a universal winner for speed, gaming, battery life or photographic results. Those judgments require comparable independent testing, which is not provided by these specification and launch-price sources.

What to verify before paying
- Confirm the exact model number and RAM/storage configuration; availability differs by country.
- Compare current offers in the same market and for the same condition and carrier status.
- Check that the seller’s warranty and return terms suit you, particularly for discontinued or used stock.
- Confirm 5G band and service compatibility with your carrier and region; 5G availability depends on local networks.
- If charging speed matters, confirm you have a compatible charging setup rather than assuming a charger is included or will deliver the maximum listed rate.
