In contemporaneous coverage, SecurityWeek reported that RunSafe’s capabilities included identifying software exposure to memory-related exploits, hardening code by randomizing function placement in memory, offering pre-hardened open-source packages and container images, and analyzing crash events to help distinguish bugs from attacks. How did RunSafe say it would use the funding?
RunSafe said the financing would accelerate new product development and expansion into EMEA and APAC. It did not disclose a dollar-by-dollar allocation. CEO Joe Saunders said the investment would help roll out the company’s solution to prevent attacks exploiting known and unknown vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure, including when a patch is unavailable and without rewriting code.

The $12 million figure is the amount of the Series B financing RunSafe announced in 2024. The announcement and contemporaneous coverage do not establish a company valuation, an independently audited funding total, or RunSafe’s current funding status. The release also claimed back-to-back years of tripling annualized revenue but provided no underlying figures or methodology, so that growth claim cannot be independently assessed from the announcement.
