What is RuneFest?
RuneFest is Jagex’s celebration of the RuneScape community, bringing players and developers together for live programming and game announcements. The 2026 edition was part of RuneScape’s 25th-anniversary year and featured activities connected to RuneScape, Old School RuneScape and Dragonwilds.
The program included show-floor events, the Golden Gnome Awards, an Old School RuneScape PvP Invitational and Summits for the games. It was both an in-person gathering and an event followed remotely through Jagex’s official channels.

Where were viewers directed before the event?
Before RuneFest, Jagex’s final preview directed remote viewers to the RuneFest Schedule and Official Twitch Channel. It also listed the Official RuneScape, Official Old School RuneScape, Official RuneScape Dragonwilds and Official Jagex Twitch channels as eligible for a shrimp badge after one hour of viewing. That was a time-limited event reward; the preview does not establish that it can still be claimed.
