Rock Hill voters will choose trustees for three School District Three seats on November 3, 2026. None of the incumbents in those seats filed to run again, leaving eight candidates to compete in nonpartisan races for Seat 2, Seat 4 and one at-large seat.
Which Rock Hill school board seats are up for election?
The three contested seats are Seat 2, Seat 4 and an at-large position on the Rock Hill School District Three Board of Trustees. According to YoCo News’ August 17, 2026 report, the incumbents—Helena Miller, Pete Nosal and Lacy Daniel—did not file for reelection. The winners will be new trustees.
| Seat | Candidates | Incumbent who did not file |
|---|---|---|
| Seat 2 | Zach Oxendine, Lamont Ratchford and Holly Shook | Helena Miller |
| Seat 4 | Tyler Williams, Jason Wilson and Sally Young | Pete Nosal |
| At-large | Matt Hiers and Seberina Barber Myles | Lacy Daniel |
All eight candidates are competing for three seats; every contest is contested, according to the local report.
How do the races work, and who can vote?
The school-board races are nonpartisan, so candidates appear without party labels, and there is no primary. All candidates proceed to the November 3, 2026 general election. The York County Democratic Party’s candidate page also lists the Rock Hill seats as up for election and identifies the school-board contests as nonpartisan and outside the June 9 primaries.

The local report says trustees serve staggered four-year terms. Winners take office at the first board meeting in November after results are certified; it does not give a specific certification or meeting date.
What have the at-large candidates said about their priorities?
Campaign websites provide statements from both candidates in the at-large contest. These are candidates’ own descriptions of their goals and experience, not independent assessments. The available material does not provide a consistent set of policy positions for all eight candidates, so it cannot support a complete field-wide comparison or ranking.
