What Risotto says the Autonomous IT Engineer does
Risotto positions the product as an AI support agent for unfamiliar, multi-step IT issues. The proposed workflow is to examine a ticket and relevant information, investigate the problem, and execute a fix only with human approval. If the resolution works, the system can convert it into a reusable runbook or automation.
That distinction matters: the announcement describes a process that can build repeatable workflows from resolved cases, not simply a chatbot that answers common questions. CEO and co-founder Aron Solberg framed the product this way: “Our Autonomous IT Engineer doesn’t just resolve these complex issues; they convert each resolution into a reusable automation. The agents don’t just use tools, they build the tools they need.” This is Risotto’s product positioning, not independent evidence of performance.

- Ticket-history analysis: The system is described as analyzing 90 days of ticket history to find automation opportunities. That is the stated look-back period, not a claim that every ticket can be automated.
- Dashboards and reports: Risotto says users can create custom pages and reports using live data.
- Scheduled and event-triggered workflows: The announcement cites tasks such as onboarding and system checks as examples.
Risotto’s IT product page also describes conversational, multi-step troubleshooting, connections to ticketing and corporate communications tools, and escalation to human support when needed. These are vendor descriptions; the available coverage does not independently test how well the features work in practice.

What the reported performance numbers do—and do not—show
Risotto’s October 5, 2026 launch announcement reports response times under four seconds and auto-solve rates of up to 70%. The Next Web also reported a Risotto claim of up to 90% of IT tickets auto-resolved. The available sources do not establish that the 70% and 90% figures use the same ticket population, denominator, definition of “auto-resolved,” or measurement method, so they should not be treated as directly comparable.
Neither the launch announcement nor the contemporaneous coverage supplies a customer sample, detailed methodology, or independent verification for these performance figures. They are useful as statements of Risotto’s claims, but not as a basis for predicting the result an organization will see.

What IT teams should verify before relying on it
For a system that can investigate tickets and take actions in connected tools, the useful evaluation is not just whether it answers quickly. An IT team should establish how it behaves on its own ticket mix and under its own permissions.
- Ticket scope: Which issue types and levels of complexity can it handle, and can it investigate genuinely unfamiliar problems rather than only repeat known fixes?
- Approval boundaries: Which actions require a person’s approval, and can those rules be configured for different systems or levels of risk?
- Integrations: Does it connect to the organization’s current IT service-management, identity, and communications systems, and what access does each connection require?
- Auditability: Can administrators review what the agent examined, recommended, changed, and learned as a reusable workflow?
- Outcome measurement: How does the organization define an auto-resolved ticket, and are escalations, reopened tickets, and unsuccessful attempts included in the reported rate?
Risotto’s IT page promotes a demo and free 30-day pilots. The retrieved public information does not state pricing, so prospective customers would need to ask the company for commercial terms.

It also does not establish how the product performs across different IT environments.
