The right REDTIGER dash cam depends on what you need to record: the ZP1 is advertised with two front-facing lenses plus a rear camera, the F7NP pairs front 4K with rear 1080p, the F77 is described as dual 4K, and the F17 Elite adds an interior view. Compare camera coverage and the exact bundle before weighing resolution labels; those specifications do not establish which model produces better footage or readable plates at a particular distance.
How the REDTIGER models compare
These are manufacturer or product-listing descriptions, not independent image-quality test results. The ZP1 details below come from an indexed REDTIGER product-video listing rather than an official specification page, so confirm the exact model and regional retail bundle before relying on them.
| Model | Documented camera setup | May suit | Evidence limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| ZP1 | Listing describes wide and telephoto front lenses, a rear camera, 2K plus 1080p recording, and 4x zoom. | Someone interested in the advertised telephoto view and front/rear coverage. | No official ZP1 specification page was identified; verify the current model and region. REDTIGER product-video listing. |
| F7NP | Two-channel; front 4K and rear 1080p. | A front-resolution-led front/rear setup. | Manufacturer specifications, not independent image-quality testing. REDTIGER F7NP specifications. |
| F77 | Front 4K and rear 4K; described with IMX678 sensors. | Someone prioritizing high-resolution recording at both ends. | Manufacturer claims; the product-page result was crawled more than a year before October 7, 2026, so recheck the current version. REDTIGER F77 specifications. |
| F17 Elite | Three-channel; front 4K, rear 2.5K, and interior 1080p. | A driver who wants cabin coverage as well as front and rear views. | Manufacturer specifications; confirm the current bundle and installation details. REDTIGER F17 Elite specifications. |
What is distinctive about the ZP1?
The ZP1 listing’s distinguishing feature is its combination of a wide front lens and a telephoto front lens, alongside a rear camera. It also describes 4x zoom, 2K plus 1080p recording, dual STARVIS 2, HDR night vision, 5.8GHz Wi-Fi, voice control, and loop recording. These are listing claims; the available evidence does not confirm them against an official ZP1 specification page.
A telephoto view may appeal if you want a narrower, more zoomed-in view alongside a wide view, but zoom and resolution labels alone cannot show whether a license plate will be readable. That depends on actual footage and conditions, and no comparable independent footage test for these models is established here.

Choose by the view you need
Front and rear coverage
If recording the cabin is not a priority, the F7NP and F77 are documented two-channel examples. Their listed rear-camera resolutions differ: 1080p for the F7NP and 4K for the F77. The ZP1 listing also describes front and rear coverage, but its exact version should be verified before comparing it directly.
Front, rear, and interior coverage
The F17 Elite is the documented three-channel option, with an interior camera listed at 1080p. Consider it when the cabin itself needs to be recorded; the extra camera is a coverage difference, not proof of superior footage.

Decide whether rear 4K matters
The manufacturer’s listed configurations distinguish the F77’s rear 4K from the F7NP’s rear 1080p. Whether that difference is worth prioritizing depends on your needs and the full system, not resolution alone. The available sources do not establish a comparative plate-reading distance or independently tested image-quality advantage.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How much should low-light features influence the choice?
STARVIS 2, HDR, WDR, and night-vision labels describe technologies or advertised features; they are not substitutes for comparable footage tests. The available sources do not establish which of these models performs best at night. Treat those labels as specification clues rather than a tested ranking.

Check installation, storage, and bundle details
- Parking mode and power: Check the selected model’s supported parking behavior and whether its particular package includes a hardwire kit. REDTIGER lists hardwire kits in its accessories catalog, but that does not establish what comes in a camera bundle.
- Memory card: Check the card capacity supported by the exact model and whether a card is included. The F7NP page states a card capacity; do not assume that figure applies to the other models. REDTIGER’s catalog also lists cards.
- Phone and camera controls: For the ZP1, the listing advertises 5.8GHz Wi-Fi and voice control. Confirm those features on the exact regional listing; comparable details for every model are not established here.
- Regional package: Confirm the exact model, included cameras, cables, hardwire kit, card, and current price on the listing for your region. Bundles and product details can change.
- Accessories: REDTIGER’s catalog lists hardwire kits, microSD cards, and CPL filters. Check compatibility with the camera you choose before buying an accessory.
A practical way to decide
- Choose the coverage you need: front/rear, or front/rear/interior.
- Compare the listed front and rear resolutions for the exact models under consideration.
- If considering the ZP1, verify its current regional listing and confirm that the advertised dual-front-lens arrangement is the version being sold.
- Check how parking recording is powered and whether the bundle includes the required hardwire kit.
- Confirm supported card capacity, included accessories, and the current package contents before purchase.
