The Redmi Note 17 5G has the stronger listed display and battery specifications; the Moto G77 Power 5G is listed with an ultrawide rear camera, a higher-resolution selfie camera, and a lower India price. The Redmi’s reported price is about ₹2,400 higher, but the comparison pages do not confirm that the listed prices are for matching memory configurations. These are specification and price comparisons, not results from hands-on testing.

Redmi Note 17 5G vs Moto G77 Power 5G at a glance

The figures below combine Xiaomi’s official Germany specifications with claims from comparison databases. The Moto specification details and most Redmi details are secondary-source listings, so treat them as reported specifications rather than independently verified test results.

Which phone has the better display?

On the published specifications, the Redmi Note 17 5G has the advantage: Xiaomi’s Germany page lists a 6.99-inch AMOLED screen with 2396 × 1080 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The comparison pages list the Moto G77 Power 5G with a smaller 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

AMOLED and LCD describe different display technologies, but those labels alone do not establish which screen is brighter, more color-accurate, or easier to view outdoors. No controlled display measurements are available here. Xiaomi also cautions that connectivity, bands, and NFC availability can vary by market; its Germany specification page is not a guarantee that every regional Redmi model is identical.

Battery and charging: Redmi leads on listed capacity

Comparison listings give the Redmi an 8,000 mAh battery and 45 W wired charging, versus 7,000 mAh and 30 W for the Moto. Those figures favor the Redmi on paper, but battery capacity and charging rate do not show how long either phone lasts in real use or how quickly it charges through a complete cycle. There are no controlled battery-life or charging tests in the available evidence.

Camera differences: Moto lists an ultrawide

The Moto’s listed rear-camera setup pairs a 50 MP main camera with an 8 MP ultrawide. The Redmi listings pair a 50 MP main camera with a 2 MP secondary camera. For framing a wider scene, the Moto’s explicitly listed ultrawide gives it a more versatile-looking camera arrangement on paper.

For selfies, the comparison pages list a 32 MP front camera on the Moto and an 8 MP front camera on the Redmi. A higher megapixel count does not, by itself, prove better photos: image processing, lens quality, and shooting conditions also matter. No side-by-side photo tests establish a camera-quality winner.

Performance and storage: match the exact versions

The comparison databases identify a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 in the Redmi and a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 in the Moto. Chipset names alone are not enough to establish which phone is faster for everyday use, gaming, or sustained workloads; no comparable performance tests are available here.

The displayed configurations are also not an even match: 91mobiles shows the Redmi with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, while comparison listings show the Moto with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Xiaomi’s German specifications describe a hybrid SIM/microSD slot, and Gadgets Now lists Moto storage expansion up to 1 TB. Availability and supported configurations can vary by market. Check the exact regional model and memory version before comparing prices.

Software support: reported advantage, not independently confirmed

Gadgets Now lists Android 16, four years of OS updates, and six years of security updates for the Redmi; for the Moto, it lists Android 16, one year of OS updates, and three years of security updates. If accurate for the specific models and market, that would favor the Redmi for longer ownership. These support periods are not corroborated here by manufacturer documentation, so confirm them with Xiaomi and Motorola for the exact regional devices before treating them as guaranteed.

Price difference: India listings are snapshots

On October 4, 2026, the comparison pages displayed the Redmi at ₹27,999 and the Moto at ₹25,597 on 91mobiles or ₹25,580 on Gadgets Now. That puts the Redmi roughly ₹2,400 above the Moto in those snapshots. The pages do not establish that the prices refer to matching RAM and storage versions, and prices can change; check current India listings for the same configuration before buying.

Regional prices should not be mixed. Spanish coverage published September 17, 2026, reported the Redmi Note 17 5G at €349.99 for 6/128 GB, €379.99 for 6/256 GB, and €399.99 for 8/256 GB; these are Spain-market prices, not India pricing. See Cinco Días / Smartlife’s report.

Which phone should you choose?

Choose the Redmi Note 17 5G if these listed advantages matter most

  • You want the larger AMOLED display described on Xiaomi’s Germany specifications page.
  • You prioritize its higher listed battery capacity and wired charging rate.
  • The longer update periods reported by Gadgets Now matter to you, after confirming support with the manufacturer for your region.

Consider the Moto G77 Power 5G if these trade-offs suit you

  • You want the listed 8 MP ultrawide rear camera or 32 MP front camera.
  • The lower displayed India price appeals to you and you have verified the exact memory configuration and current listing.

This is a spec-led choice, not a hands-on verdict. Motorola’s India catalog lists the moto g77 power family, but the available official page does not provide a detailed G77 Power specification sheet. Motorola’s US support page includes “moto g77 power” in a memory-card support list; that does not confirm every India specification listed by comparison sites. Check the exact model name and region, and do not confuse the Redmi Note 17 5G with the Redmi 17 5G or the Moto G77 Power 5G with the Moto G77.
