For buyers comparing the India-market 5G models, the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is the better default if its price premium is modest: it has a larger display, a newer listed processor, a bigger listed battery and a longer stated software-support period. Choose the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G if it is substantially cheaper or you prefer a smaller, lighter curved-screen phone. The specifications do not establish that the 15 takes better photos or lasts longer in real-world use.
Compare the India 5G models—not just the names
Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro naming can refer to different regional or network variants. The figures below are for Xiaomi India’s 5G models. Other markets may have different specifications; for example, TechRadar’s review covers a UK/Australia-market Note 15 Pro 5G, so its figures should not be mixed with the India models. Check the exact SKU, local 5G bands, storage configuration, seller warranty and included items before buying.

These are manufacturer-published specifications, not controlled performance results. Xiaomi’s India pages include test-condition and warranty caveats for water resistance; a rating is not a reason to deliberately expose a phone to water. The update periods are manufacturer statements for these India product pages, and support policies can differ by market.
What the differences mean for everyday buying
The Note 15 has the larger screen; the Note 14 is lighter and curved
The Note 15’s 6.83-inch display gives you more screen area, while both phones are listed with 1.5K resolution and refresh rates up to 120Hz. The Note 14’s 6.67-inch curved panel is the smaller option. It is also 20g lighter according to Xiaomi’s India specifications, which may matter if you carry or hold your phone for long periods.

The newer chip is a step forward, not proof of a dramatic speed jump
The Dimensity 7400-Ultra in the Note 15 is newer than the Note 14’s Dimensity 7300-Ultra. That makes the 15 the straightforward choice if you want the newer listed platform, but these processor names alone do not show how large the difference will feel in your apps or games. Avoid treating a generation change as a guaranteed major real-world upgrade.
The 200MP label does not settle which camera takes better photos
The Note 15 lists a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS); the Note 14 lists a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera. A higher megapixel count is not, on its own, evidence of better photos. Xiaomi describes the Note 15’s camera as having a “brand-new 1/1.4" large sensor” and says it is designed for “unprecedented image detail.” That is Xiaomi’s product-page wording, not independent confirmation of image quality. Both India models list a 20MP selfie camera and rear video recording up to 4K/30fps. No controlled side-by-side camera test establishes a winner here.

The Note 15 lists a larger battery, but capacity is not runtime
Xiaomi lists a 6580mAh battery for the Note 15 and a 5500mAh battery for the Note 14, with a 45W charger in the box for each India model. The higher capacity makes the Note 15 more promising on paper, but it does not establish how long either phone lasts under comparable use. No controlled same-condition endurance result is available to declare a runtime winner.
The Note 15 has the stronger listed protection ratings and support horizon
Xiaomi lists IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings for the Note 15 and IP68 for the Note 14. The Note 15 also has the longer stated software-update horizon on Xiaomi India’s product page. Verify the current local support terms when buying, since the quoted policies are market-specific.

Which Redmi Note is the better value?
Choose based on current prices for the same market, storage capacity and warranty terms—not a price remembered from an old listing. Xiaomi India’s store result captured for this comparison showed the Note 15 Pro 5G in an 8GB/128GB configuration at ₹31,999 and marked it out of stock. That is a snapshot, not a live offer, and it does not establish a comparable same-date Note 14 price or a reliable price gap.
- Buy the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G if its premium is modest and you value the larger screen, newer listed processor, larger battery capacity and longer stated support.
- Buy the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G if its discount is substantial, or you prefer its smaller curved display and lighter body.
There is no universal price threshold in the available comparison: the value decision depends on the live price difference for matching configurations. A third-party comparison from NanoReview also treats value as dependent on local prices entered into its tool, so its general upgrade conclusion should not substitute for checking current offers.

- Match the full model name and confirm it is the India-market 5G version.
- Compare the same RAM and storage configuration, then check the current price and stock status.
- Confirm local 5G-band compatibility, seller identity, device condition and warranty terms.
- Check the current support policy for your market and the included-box contents on the specific listing.
Xiaomi lists a protective case and 45W charger in the box for both India models; verify the contents of the specific regional listing rather than assuming every variant includes the same items.
