Neither those specifications nor the camera megapixel counts establish which phone performs better in everyday use. At a glance: realme GT 8 Pro vs vivo X300
| Category | realme GT 8 Pro | vivo X300 | What it means |

| Battery and charging | 7000mAh typical, 6850mAh rated; up to 120W wired and 50W wireless | 6040mAh typical in overseas markets except Europe; 5360mAh in Austria and Hungary; 90W wired and 40W wireless | realme lists higher capacity and charging rates, but capacity is not measured battery life and X300 capacity varies by market. |

Which phone has the better display?
Choose the GT 8 Pro if you want a larger screen and prioritize the higher listed maximum refresh rate. realme specifies a 6.79-inch QHD+ panel at 3136 × 1440 with refresh up to 144Hz (realme GT 8 Pro specifications).
The X300 is the smaller-screen alternative: vivo lists a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display at 2640 × 1216 with an adaptive 1–120Hz range (vivo X300 specifications). Screen size is a useful indication of relative footprint, but it is not a hands-on assessment of grip or comfort.
How do their cameras differ?
The camera systems are arranged differently. realme lists a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide and 200MP telephoto. vivo lists a 200MP main camera alongside 50MP telephoto and 50MP ultra-wide cameras (realme specifications; vivo specifications). Megapixel counts and lens roles alone cannot show which phone takes better photos; that requires comparable image samples or testing.

realme’s RICOH GR modes
realme highlights RICOH GR camera modes, including 28mm and 40mm focal-length options and five RICOH GR Tones. These are features realme describes in its November 7, 2025 India launch announcement, not an independent assessment of camera quality.
vivo’s ZEISS imaging and optional extender
vivo identifies the X300 imaging system with ZEISS branding. In India, vivo also lists an optional ZEISS 2.35x Telephoto Extender compatible with the X300; the described package includes a phone case and adapter ring (vivo India X300 page). Check regional compatibility, current availability and package contents before buying an accessory.

Which has the stronger battery and faster charging?
On listed specifications, the GT 8 Pro has the larger typical battery and higher maximum charging rates: 7000mAh typical (6850mAh rated), up to 120W wired and 50W wireless (realme specifications). These are manufacturer specifications, not a comparative runtime or charging test.
X300 battery capacity depends on market: vivo lists 6040mAh typical for overseas markets except Europe, and 5360mAh in Austria and Hungary. Its listed charging rates are 90W wired and 40W wireless (vivo specifications). Do not assume one region’s X300 capacity applies to a version sold elsewhere, or treat battery capacity as a direct measure of endurance.

Which processor is faster?
realme specifies the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while vivo’s China product page lists the Dimensity 9500 (realme specifications; vivo China X300 specifications). The listed chip names do not establish a performance winner. If sustained speed for demanding games or workloads is decisive, look for independent tests of the exact regional models; no comparable benchmark result is established here.

The vivo page dates its China launch to October 2025; these are China configuration prices, not current street prices or an international comparison. A matching current realme price is not established. To compare what you would actually pay, use current listings for the same country and storage tier, and account for tax, seller and warranty market. realme also notes that GT 8 Pro memory and storage configurations vary by region (realme specifications).
Quick Recap
Which should you choose?
- Consider the realme GT 8 Pro if you prefer a larger, higher-resolution display, value its higher listed refresh ceiling, or want the named RICOH GR modes. Its published battery and charging specifications are also higher.
- Consider the vivo X300 if you want a smaller display, prefer its camera arrangement or ZEISS-branded features, or are interested in the compatible India-listed telephoto extender.
- Compare local offers before deciding on value. Prices, storage configurations, availability, network bands and warranty depend on market; the China X300 list cannot establish what either phone costs where you live.
