Its 7,000mAh typical-capacity battery and 120W charging are the standout combination. The compromises are a weaker ultrawide camera, preinstalled apps, and missing features such as wireless charging and faster USB. This review covers the global GT 7; it is not the China GT7.

Specifications and retail packages can vary by country. GSMArena distinguishes this global GT 7 from China’s GT7, which uses a different chipset and rear-camera arrangement. Check the exact model, network bands, storage, warranty, and box contents in your market before buying. GSMArena’s global GT 7 specifications and realme Philippines’ specifications identify the regional details.
What the realme GT 7 does well
Exceptional battery capacity and quick wired charging
The global phone’s 7,000mAh typical-capacity battery is unusually large for this class, and 120W SUPERVOOC wired charging gives you a way to top it up quickly. realme Philippines specifies both 7,000mAh typical and 6,850mAh rated capacity; those are different measures, not conflicting battery listings. The actual charging time depends on conditions and market configuration, so the charging wattage should not be treated as a guaranteed full-charge time.
Notebookcheck also praised the phone’s battery size and charging speed in its review. Its report describes six years of updates, but does not establish the precise operating-system-upgrade and security-patch schedule for every regional version. Notebookcheck’s review provides that assessment.

Bright, smooth, high-quality display
The 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED panel combines a 120Hz refresh rate with a sharp 1264 × 2780 resolution. The display drew positive assessments in independent reviews, with Notebookcheck describing it as accurate. realme India advertises a local peak of 6,000 nits measured in its lab under 100,000 lux; that is a conditional peak figure, not a promise of sustained, full-screen brightness. Notebookcheck says it could not measure the advertised extreme. The official Philippines specifications separately list 1,000 nits typical, 1,600 nits HBM, and 6,000 nits peak. realme India’s specifications and test condition and the Philippines specifications give the manufacturer figures.
Strong performance for demanding everyday use
The global model uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e. 91mobiles rated performance 8.4/10 in its review and counted flagship-grade performance among the phone’s strengths; that score is the publication’s editorial assessment, not a universal benchmark. Notebookcheck likewise praised performance. These reviews support a positive verdict for buyers who want a fast phone, though they do not establish that every workload or sustained gaming session will perform identically.
Useful main and telephoto cameras
The rear system gives you a stabilized 50MP main camera, a 50MP 2× telephoto camera, and an 8MP ultrawide. That mix is more flexible than a main-camera-only setup, and 91mobiles described the rear cameras as reliable overall. The meaningful caveat is the ultrawide: 91mobiles specifically flagged its quality as a drawback, so buyers who regularly shoot wide landscapes or groups should not assume all three cameras are equally capable.

What are the realme GT 7’s drawbacks?
The ultrawide is the weak link in the camera system
The camera criticism in 91mobiles’ review focuses on ultrawide quality rather than the main and telephoto pair. If ultrawide photos are a priority, compare sample images from the exact regional model before buying; the megapixel count alone does not establish image quality.
Software includes preinstalled apps
91mobiles lists the number of pre-installed apps as a con. That matters if you prefer a cleaner Android setup or want to spend less time reviewing and removing unwanted apps. The launch configuration runs Android 15 with realme UI 6.0; available software and support terms should be checked for your region rather than inferred from another market.
No wireless charging, USB 2.0, and no 6GHz Wi-Fi
Notebookcheck flags three omissions or limitations: wireless charging, USB 2.0, and no 6GHz WLAN. If you rely on wireless charging, transfer large files over a cable, or need 6GHz Wi-Fi, these are practical reasons to compare another phone rather than treating the GT 7 as a complete flagship substitute.

Large battery means a substantial phone
GSMArena lists the device at 206g and 8.3mm thick. That is useful context if you prefer a lighter or thinner handset: the battery capacity comes in a sizeable body, not a compact design. GSMArena lists IP69; realme describes test conditions for IP68/IP69 on its India page and warns that protection may decrease with wear. A rating is not a reason to deliberately immerse or expose a worn phone to water.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How reviewers rated the realme GT 7
91mobiles published its review on 9 June 2025 and gave the phone an 8.3/10 expert rating. The publication’s category scores show where it saw relative strengths and weaknesses:
| Category | 91mobiles score |
|---|---|
| Design | 7.9/10 |
| Display | 8.0/10 |
| Software | 7.5/10 |
| Camera | 8.3/10 |
| Performance | 8.4/10 |
| Battery | 8.5/10 |
These are 91mobiles’ review scores, not objective measures shared by all reviewers. Its verdict framed the phone as a strong value in its India launch-review context below Rs 40,000, while noting buyers might prefer another option for premium materials, stronger ultrawide photography, or stock Android. That historical price context is not a current offer. Read the 91mobiles review.

Is the realme GT 7 worth buying?
It is worth considering if your priorities are battery capacity, fast wired charging, a smooth AMOLED screen, and strong performance. The camera arrangement is useful if you mainly use the main and 2× telephoto cameras, but less compelling if ultrawide quality is central to your photography.
- Choose it if: you want a large battery and 120W wired charging, value a 120Hz display, and do not need wireless charging or 6GHz Wi-Fi.
- Compare alternatives if: you want a cleaner software experience, better ultrawide photography, premium materials, a lighter phone, wireless charging, or USB faster than USB 2.0.
- Check before paying: confirm the global GT 7 rather than the China GT7, local network-band compatibility, storage, warranty, current price, stock, software terms, and whether the charger is in the box.
Packaging is market-dependent: realme Philippines lists a 120W adapter and case in the box, while GSMArena notes that EU-market phones may omit the charger. Do not assume either package applies to your retailer or country. Check realme Philippines’ listed package and GSMArena’s regional note.
