How the displays compare
Both are listed with the same 6.8-inch HD+ LCD resolution, but the realme 16x is listed at 144Hz versus 120Hz for the OnePlus N6. That gives the realme the higher specified refresh ceiling; it does not establish that every app or game will run at that rate. OnePlus says its screen supports a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz and that actual rates may vary with the app interface and game settings.
Battery capacity and charging
The OnePlus has the larger listed battery: 8,000mAh typical capacity, with 7,780mAh rated capacity, compared with the realme 16x’s listed 7,000mAh. Both appear with 45W wired charging in the comparison. OnePlus attributes its battery-life and charging claims to its Test Lab and cautions that actual results vary. Capacity alone does not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use; no controlled independent head-to-head endurance test is established here.

Performance, cameras, and storage
The listings name a Dimensity 6300 for the realme and a Dimensity 6360 Apex for the OnePlus, and show 4GB RAM and 128GB storage as base options for both. Chipset names or aggregated benchmark numbers alone are not enough to call a practical speed winner. Both are listed with a 50MP main rear camera and an 8MP front camera. A meaningful camera comparison would require results captured and assessed under comparable conditions.
For storage flexibility, Gadgets 360 lists realme 16x configurations up to 6GB RAM and 256GB storage. OnePlus says 60fps video recording is limited to the N6 6GB+128GB version, so check the exact configuration if that recording mode matters.

Software and durability
Gadgets 360 lists Android 16, realme UI 7.0, and IP65 for the realme 16x. OnePlus markets OxygenOS 16, IP65, and MIL-STD-810H certification for the N6. These are reported specifications and manufacturer claims, not a direct comparison of software support or independent durability results. IP65 is not a claim that either phone is waterproof.
OnePlus also describes a “60-Month Smooth Experience” based on 60-month fluency testing of the N6 6GB model in its Test Lab. The company says the claim reflects software, hardware, and other optimizations; it does not guarantee absolutely no lag, and actual experience varies.

- Consider the realme 16x if its listed 144Hz refresh rate or its listed configurations up to 6GB/256GB better suit your priorities, and the current price for the exact variant works for you.
- Consider the OnePlus N6 if you value its larger listed battery or the lower price shown in the cited comparison, and prefer OxygenOS 16.
- Compare before deciding if battery endurance, camera quality, or day-to-day performance is decisive. The available specifications do not settle those real-world questions in a controlled head-to-head test.
Before purchasing, compare the current India price for the same RAM/storage configuration, confirm availability, and weigh screen smoothness, battery needs, and software preference rather than treating any single specification as an overall verdict.
