The realme 14 Pro is easiest to recommend to buyers who value a long-lasting battery, a bright 120Hz OLED display and strong dust- and water-resistance ratings more than camera flexibility. Its main camera has optical image stabilization, but the standard 14 Pro has no ultra-wide camera. Whether it is worth buying now depends on your local price and the exact regional version; current prices and stock have not been established here.
Verdict: Is the realme 14 Pro worth buying?
It can be a good fit if your priorities are everyday performance, a high-refresh display, battery capacity and a relatively slim, light design. The 91mobiles reviewer praised its design, durability, battery and display, while flagging the missing ultra-wide camera and pre-installed apps. The site rated it 7.7/10 overall in a review published on 17 January 2025 and updated on 23 January 2025. That is launch-period review evidence, not a fresh 2026 retest.
The case for buying it weakens if you often photograph wide landscapes or groups, want a more versatile rear-camera system, or expect particularly quick charging. Reviewers also noted software and camera-processing shortcomings. Compare the price with current alternatives in your market before deciding; no current street price or best-buy comparison is established here.

Large battery, with 45W charging
For the India model, realme specifies a 6000mAh typical-capacity battery and a 5860mAh minimum capacity, with 45W SUPERVOOC charging. Those are manufacturer specifications, not a guarantee of a particular runtime. 91mobiles and MySmartPrice both praised battery life in their January 2025 reviews, but endurance will vary with signal strength, screen settings and usage.

Bright, high-refresh OLED display
realme’s India specifications list an OLED panel with 2392 × 1080 resolution and refresh rates up to 120Hz. The same page gives brightness figures of 800 nits typical and 1400 nits global maximum. These are manufacturer figures; actual brightness and battery use can vary with content and conditions. MySmartPrice also highlighted the curved display in its hands-on review.
Durability ratings require careful interpretation
realme says the phone meets IP66, IP68 and IP69 test levels. Its global product page says the realme 14 Pro 5G is water- and dust-resistant under normal usage conditions, but also warns that resistance may diminish over time. The published IP68 conditions specify clear, still water up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes; realme advises against exposure to seawater, chlorinated water and other liquids, and says liquid damage from improper use is not covered by warranty. These ratings do not make the phone waterproof or make deliberate immersion a safe use case. See realme’s global product page and its test qualifications.
Where the phone compromises
No ultra-wide rear camera
The India model’s listed rear cameras are a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with optical image stabilization and a monochrome camera. It does not have an ultra-wide camera, a limitation also called out by 91mobiles. That makes it less flexible for wide architectural scenes, expansive landscapes and large groups when you cannot step back. Do not confuse it with the separate realme 14 Pro+, whose camera hardware is different.

Camera experience is not just a matter of megapixels. MySmartPrice identified portrait edge detection as an area for improvement, and Digital Citizen described the camera system as a compromise versus some predecessors. These are the reviewers’ assessments, rather than a guarantee of how every scene or user will fare.
Software and bundled apps may need attention
91mobiles listed pre-installed apps as a con, and MySmartPrice also noted bundled apps. MySmartPrice additionally raised thermal management as a concern. These are review findings from January 2025, not measurements of every unit or a current software retest. If a clean software setup or sustained heavy use is important to you, check a current local review or try the phone in person.
Charging is not the fastest part of the package
The specified 45W charging is a trade-off alongside the large battery. Digital Citizen also characterized charging speed as a compromise against some predecessors. No controlled charging-time comparison is established here, so the wattage alone should not be treated as a precise estimate of time to full.

Regional differences can affect the practical value of the phone. realme’s India page says NFC is absent and lists a 45W adapter, while Digital Citizen reports that some European-region packages do not include a charger. Confirm the exact model, network-band support, memory configuration, NFC availability and box contents on the seller’s listing for your country. Do not assume a charger is included because one appears in an India specification.

Reviewers’ launch-price references are historical: MySmartPrice reported India launch prices of ₹24,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹26,999 for 8GB/256GB. Those are not current quotes. The present local price, inventory and discounts have not been established.
Who should consider the realme 14 Pro?
- Consider it if battery capacity, a bright high-refresh OLED and durability ratings matter more to you than having several rear-camera perspectives.
- Look elsewhere if an ultra-wide camera is important, you prioritize camera versatility, or charging speed is a deciding factor.
- Verify first if you are buying outside India: check NFC, supported network bands, memory options, charger inclusion and local price for your exact variant.
- Compare current alternatives before purchasing, since January 2025 review scores do not establish how the phone stacks up against 2026 competitors or today’s local deals.
Abhik Sengupta’s 91mobiles verdict was that the phone “won’t disappoint if looks, durability, performance, and battery matter to you,” with the absent ultra-wide camera as an important qualification. The 91mobiles review rated design and display 8.0, software and camera 7.0, performance 7.7, and battery 7.9. Treat those scores as that publication’s review judgments, not universal test results.
