There is no reliable single list that ranks every RAID: Shadow Legends champion by rarity and overall strength. Plarium’s faction tier list, last updated September 3, 2025, gives a useful dated starting point: it rates champions from S to D using selected endgame content, but its rankings are organized by faction, not as a universal rarity ladder. Use rarity to narrow your options, then compare role, affinity, faction, game mode, and your team’s needs.
What the official tier list can—and cannot—tell you
Plarium’s champion tier list groups champions by faction and assigns S–D tiers. Its combined ratings draw on selected endgame content, so they are not a promise that a champion will be best for every Arena, Clan Boss, dungeon, or Doom Tower team. Plarium also notes that suitability varies with playstyle and whether you are focused on PvE or PvP.
The list was last updated on September 3, 2025. It is a dated reference, not a verified ranking of the October 2026 meta. The examples below show how to read the evidence by rarity without pretending that different factions or roles can be ranked on one scale.
Legendary champions
Marichka
Plarium lists Marichka as S tier for Banner Lords and identifies her as a Void Support champion. That is a strong rating within the list’s stated content scope, not a universal verdict for every account or mode.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Baron
Baron is listed as A tier for Banner Lords, with Attack as his role and Void as his affinity. The same 2025 list gives him a 4.8/5 average endgame score; that figure is Plarium’s source-specific rating, not an independent or current measure of performance.
For context, the same list gives Arbiter a 4.9/5 average endgame score. Those scores should be read within Plarium’s list and its selected endgame content, rather than as a direct comparison of all champions across rarities.

Epic champions
Doompriest
Doompriest is listed S tier for Knight Revenant. Plarium identifies her as a Force Support champion.
Giscard the Sigiled
Giscard the Sigiled is listed A tier for Banner Lords, with Defense as his role and Spirit as his affinity. The difference between his and Doompriest’s listed tier does not establish which is more useful for your account: they belong to different factions, and their roles and team jobs differ.

Coldheart
Plarium’s tier-list article describes Coldheart as one of the best Rare champions, and advice on Plarium’s forum also names her as a champion with long-term value. That supports considering her as a notable Rare option, but the cited material does not provide a directly comparable tier score for her alongside the examples above.

Mythical champions
The available Plarium tier-list material does not establish a Mythical example with a ranking that can be responsibly included here. That is a limit of this dated reference, not evidence that Mythical champions are weak or that no suitable Mythical champion exists. Check the current roster and game-specific information before making a Mythical-versus-other-rarity decision.
How to choose between champions of different rarities
Start with the content you want to clear, then evaluate what the champion contributes to that team. A tier label is most useful when the listed champion’s mode, role, faction, and affinity fit the problem you are trying to solve.

- Choose the mode: Decide whether you need help in Arena, Clan Boss, a dungeon, Doom Tower, or another activity. A rating based on selected endgame content may not match an early-progression need.
- Identify the job: Compare the champion’s role and practical function with the gap in your team. Plarium’s Champion Tags guide explains the role and use categories players can use to organize champions, including Arena and build use.
- Check team fit: Consider faction, affinity, and the rest of your lineup. A high tier alone does not show whether a champion fills a missing role or works with your team.
- Use rarity as context, not the answer: A champion’s rarity does not by itself establish that it is the best investment for your account. Plarium’s tier guidance explicitly makes suitability dependent on content and playstyle.
- Confirm freshness: Rankings can change as the game changes. Treat the September 2025 list as a snapshot and consult current in-game information when a decision depends on the latest balance or roster.
Rarity is not rank
Rarity and rank describe different things. Rarity identifies a champion category; rank is advanced through progression. Plarium’s Tavern guide describes ranking champions up through Rank 6 and explains that promotion requires sacrificing Champions or Chickens of the same rank. A champion’s rarity should not be confused with its current rank or readiness for a particular battle.

Summoning: rarity odds are not performance odds
Summoning results are random under rates set by the game. Plarium directs players to the Summoning Portal in-game for current probabilities, so use that display rather than assuming a support-page figure is the active rate.

Plarium Support’s Summoning Events page describes x2 boosts as increasing the chance of summoning Epic and Legendary champions. Its listed event figures are 16% for an Epic from Ancient and Void Shards, and for Legendary champions 1% from Ancient and Void Shards or 12% from Sacred Shards, during the described x2 boost. The page’s publication year is not stated, and these are event figures—not guaranteed current odds.
An x10 event works differently: according to Plarium Support, the chance of summoning the relevant rarity remains unchanged, while the chance of getting a specifically named champion increases conditional on summoning an Epic or Legendary. Event details can vary, so read the live notice and check the Portal before spending shards.
What rarity changes about progression
Plarium’s Blessings guide says Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical champions can receive Blessings after reaching at least Level 1 Awakening. Rarity affects which Blessings are available to select. This is a progression difference; it does not demonstrate that the higher-rarity champion is automatically the stronger choice for your team.
