Quant has been selected to provide the interoperability layer for a planned The Clearing House network for institutional tokenized-deposit payments, with availability targeted for the first half of 2027. Separately, TechBullion reports that Remittix invited 1,000 existing RTX holders to test its PayFi app. The developments concern different customers and are not reported as a partnership.
What Quant’s Clearing House deal involves
On September 24, 2026, The Clearing House announced that it selected Quant to power its On-Chain Money Initiative, a planned network for financial institutions to clear and settle tokenized-deposit transactions. Quant is to provide the interoperability, orchestration and transaction-management layer, connecting the network with existing payment systems including The Clearing House’s RTP and CHIPS networks. The Clearing House announcement and Quant’s announcement describe the selection.
The intended users are participating financial institutions, not retail crypto holders. The organizations identify corporate treasury, liquidity management, cross-border payments and digital-asset settlement as potential areas for the network. Immediate settlement and transactions that execute automatically under preset conditions are stated goals; the announcements do not establish that these outcomes have been delivered by a live network.
What “tokenized deposits” means here
The Clearing House defines tokenized deposits as digital representations of deposits held at a financial institution. They are recorded and moved differently from conventional deposits, but the organization says they retain the protections and regulatory oversight of traditional deposits. The concept is not the same as an unbacked cryptocurrency, and the announcement does not say that tokenization changes the bank’s obligation to its depositor. The Clearing House explains its definition and planned use.

Timing and Quant’s additional offering
The Clearing House and Quant expect the network to become available to participating institutions in the first half of 2027. That is a target window, not a guaranteed launch date; The Clearing House says it will provide further details on participation and use cases as development progresses. Quant also says it will offer a bank-side Tokenized Deposits-as-a-Service solution to US financial institutions that process through The Clearing House but do not yet have tokenized-deposit capability. Quant’s account of the arrangement describes that offering.
The Clearing House says its US-based networks clear and settle more than $2 trillion each day across wire, ACH, check image and real-time payments. That is the organization’s own reported network-scale figure, not a performance figure for the planned tokenized-deposit network. The Clearing House announcement includes the figure.

What is reported about Remittix PayFi testing
In an October 3, 2026 article, TechBullion reports that 1,000 existing RTX holders were invited to test Remittix PayFi, initially with EUR and USD options. The article describes a planned flow in which supported cryptocurrency is converted to fiat and sent through compatible banking routes. TechBullion’s report is the source for the cohort and product details.
Those testing and currency details were not corroborated by a primary Remittix source in the material available for this article. The report therefore supports describing an invitation to a limited test, not a public launch or verified live banking coverage. The practical reach of any crypto-to-bank flow would depend on the app’s supported assets, banking routes, country availability and test status; the report does not establish those details comprehensively.

The Clearing House announcement published both comments.
