PUBG MOBILE Version 4.0 launched on September 4, 2025, with the limited-time Halloween mode Spooky Soiree. The mode was scheduled to end on November 5, 2025, at 05:59 Japan time, so it should not be treated as playable in the current 2026 build. The official global event page has an “APK download” entry, but that does not establish that it still serves the old 4.0 package. For a current installation, use PUBG MOBILE’s official download route or your platform’s official store, then check which version is offered.
What was new in PUBG MOBILE 4.0?
Version 4.0 combined a Halloween-themed, time-limited mode with other gameplay and system updates. The defining seasonal feature was Spooky Soiree; other additions included a new weapon, a separate asymmetric mode, Metro Royale content, lobby challenges, and editor changes. KRAFTON Japan announced the update on September 4, 2025, and said the game was available on iOS and Android. Its release described the game as free to play with in-app purchases, which does not mean every item or feature is free.
What was Spooky Soiree, and when was it available?
Spooky Soiree was a Halloween-themed mode built around haunted locations, supernatural events, and a companion character. The Japanese launch announcement scheduled it from the Version 4.0 update on September 4 through November 5, 2025, at 05:59 Japan time. It was listed for Erangel, Livik, and Rondo, but map-specific content and ranked or unranked availability differed.
PUBG MOBILE Japan later reported that a bug let players access unranked Spooky Soiree on Livik and Rondo after the scheduled closing date; the issue was corrected following a November 6, 2025 update. That notice documents a temporary exception, not ongoing availability in later builds.

Ghostie and its skills
Ghostie followed the player and assisted in combat. Players collected and leveled skills during a match, equipping one active skill and two passive skills. Examples in the patch notes included a floating balloon, a protective shield, armor repair, a helmet effect against headshot damage, enemy scanning, a speed boost, and healing. Ghostie was normally visible only to its owner, though activating a skill could reveal it to other players. Skill availability varied by map and date, so the examples should not be read as a universal map-by-map feature list.
Mystery Mansion, Ghost Treasure, and other hauntings
The Mystery Mansion appeared at two locations across the mode’s maps, including one on Livik, but not on Rondo. It offered plentiful loot and special interactions. Ghost Treasure chests became available after time had passed in a match; opening one released supplies and scanned the surrounding area for approaching enemies. A magic mirror could help revive a teammate, subject to a match limit.

Other activities included hidden ghosts that dropped supplies when found and attacked, and ghost concerts that could provide supplies and periodically scan for nearby enemies. These activities were not all present on every map: for example, Rondo omitted some ghosts and the concert.
Flying broom
The two-seat flying broom offered faster movement and two skills. While riding it, players could not shoot or loot, making it a mobility choice rather than a way to fight or collect supplies at the same time.

The global Version 4.0 event page includes an “APK download” entry, but its presence does not confirm that the link still delivers the 2025 Version 4.0 APK. The official materials do not establish the latest build, current regional store availability, or current device requirements. Avoid third-party APK repositories when looking for the game.
- Open PUBG MOBILE’s official website or the official app store for your device.
- Follow the download or install link shown there. Do not assume a page advertising Version 4.0 provides a current or working package.
- Before installing, check the version displayed by the official destination or store. If you specifically need an older 4.0 build, the available official information does not confirm that it can still be downloaded.
