Workbot lets businesses create customizable workflows that employees access through workplace chat. It connects business applications to chat interfaces, where teams can interact with data, receive event notifications, or submit requests such as resource provisioning. Its focus suits organizations that want chat to act as an interface for operational work, rather than a separate destination for every task.

Slack and Microsoft Teams are the clearest ecosystem fits: Workbot supports Slack slash commands, command replies, notifications, and attachment downloads, as well as Workbot commands and recipes in Teams. Facebook Workplace is also listed as an integration. Bots can use Workato recipes to trigger actions across connected services, and the product can support ChatOps helplines and request bots. Choose it when these chat-based workflows and app connections match how teams already coordinate; consider a different tool if your priority is a bot centered on knowledge sources or scheduled tasks.
