For sailors, surfers, kitesurfers, anglers and hikers, Windfinder puts wind conditions at the center of an Android weather app. It also runs on the web and iOS, with worldwide wind and weather forecasts up to 10 days, animated wind maps, real-time station measurements, wave forecasts and high and low tide forecasts. The emphasis is useful for planning around outdoor conditions, but less suited to someone seeking a general-purpose weather app as the main focus. Users can save favorite locations and sync settings across devices; webcams are available for some locations.
