Webex App is Cisco’s collaboration application for organizations and teams that need video meetings alongside calling, messaging, file sharing, whiteboarding, and screen sharing. It fits teams wanting meetings plus webinar-like features rather than a product focused only on hosted webinars. Access spans web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android, with supported plans reaching up to 1,000 attendees. Breakout sessions, recording, screen sharing, and in-meeting polling and Q&A through Slido give it a useful set of live-session tools.
Pricing follows a freemium structure. Webex Free costs $0 per user per month and includes meetings up to 40 minutes, up to 100 attendees, screen sharing with annotation, local recording, and unlimited messaging. Webex Meet costs $14.50 per user per month when billed monthly, extending meetings to 24 hours and 200 attendees while adding 10 GB of AI-powered cloud recording, live polling and Q&A, and closed captions. Webex Suite costs $25 per user per month monthly and includes Webex Meet capabilities plus a business phone number, calling to telephone numbers, visual voicemail, and unlimited local and domestic long-distance calling. Webex Enterprise adds capabilities such as up to 1,000 attendees, local and unlimited cloud meeting recording, FedRAMP-authorized security, and certain plans with Webex events.
Its ecosystem is a strong fit for workplaces already using Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, Miro, Calendly, or Slido. The combination of desktop, mobile, and browser access also supports mixed-device organizations. Choose Webex App when collaboration, calling, and meetings belong in one service, or when a free starting tier matters. Teams seeking a more specialized webinar workflow may prefer a dedicated webinar platform, while organizations needing larger meetings or advanced recording should review the supported paid plans.
