Our verdict on VPSIoT
VPSIoT sells unmanaged cloud VPS servers, including servers with a ready-made Home Assistant deployment image. It is aimed at solo users and small teams who want a Home Assistant-ready server but are comfortable administering the system themselves. VPSIoT handles network, hardware and provisioning; customers manage their own software and server. The web-based service also offers root access, snapshots, dedicated IPv4 and IPv6, and upstream DDoS filtering.
The monthly plans scale in listed resources. IOT-S costs $9.99 per month and includes 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe and 20 TB traffic. IOT-M is $14.99 per month with 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM and 80 GB NVMe; it is the plan specifically listed for Home Assistant. IOT-L costs $26.99 for 8 vCPU, 16 GB RAM and 160 GB NVMe, while IOT-XL is $47.99 for 16 vCPU, 32 GB RAM and 320 GB NVMe. All four plans list 20 TB traffic and dedicated IPv4 and IPv6. Optional automated daily backups carry an additional fee.
The ready-made image offers a direct route to deployment, but this is not managed Home Assistant hosting: updates and ongoing server administration remain the customer's responsibility. Buyers can select among three listed data-center locations in Germany and Finland, and support is available by ticket or through the community. A seven-day refund policy is stated, but it is not a free trial. Choose VPSIoT if you want control over a VPS and can handle its software maintenance; look elsewhere if you need managed updates or backups included in the plan price.
