Our verdict on VM6 Networks VPS
VM6 Networks VPS offers virtual private servers hosted in UK datacentres, aimed at people running personal projects, websites, applications, development environments, agencies or small SaaS workloads. Its entry plan is priced for tight budgets, while the available support options also make it relevant to buyers who want help managing a server. The trade-off is modest entry capacity: the listed starting configuration has 1 vCPU and 1GB RAM, so workloads with heavier resource needs should compare larger VPS plans or other hosting options before choosing.
The published plans show four UK Xeon tiers: UK Xeon S at £1.75 per month, UK Xeon M at £3.50, UK Xeon L at £7 and UK Xeon XL at £12. Each lists KVM virtualisation, NVMe storage, full root access and DDoS protection. The entry specification also includes 20GB NVMe storage and 2TB bandwidth. Customers can choose Linux templates or upload a custom ISO; Windows Server templates are optional and require a customer-provided licence. Monthly billing is available, and the provider's annual billing wording says one month free.
VirtFusion provides browser VNC, power controls and OS reinstall, giving administrators a web-based way to handle routine server tasks. Optional semi-managed and fully managed support includes monitoring, patching and security work, which may suit buyers who value assistance over a fully self-managed VPS. VM6 Networks also states that DDoS mitigation is always on, and lists ticket support and 24/7 support. This is a sensible fit for budget-conscious projects that can work within the chosen plan's resources, especially when managed help is useful. Buyers needing a larger starting configuration or a licence-included Windows Server option should look elsewhere.
