Our verdict on Vivid Glam
Vivid Glam is CyberLink’s photo and video editor for beauty retouching, makeup effects, selfies, and short-form visual content. It is aimed at solo creators and small teams using Apple devices, with tools for removing unwanted people and objects, improving resolution, changing hairstyles and outfits, creating avatars, and turning photos into videos. Traditional controls add facial reshaping, body-proportion adjustment, skin smoothing, teeth whitening, filters, and beauty-camera capture. The app is available as a free download with optional Premium access and in-app purchases.
Its strongest fit is breadth within a beauty-focused workflow. A single app combines corrective editing, appearance changes, generative-style effects, and video creation rather than concentrating on only retouching or only avatars. The iOS and macOS availability also suits Apple users who want access across those platforms. Support channels include tickets and documentation, while the deployment model is mobile. The published Premium plan is a subscription with auto-renewal, so buyers should review the applicable App Store listing before committing.
Vivid Glam is less suitable for production workflows that depend on batch editing, layers, RAW support, or integrations. Its emphasis is personal imagery, beauty effects, and creative transformations rather than a broad photo-management or professional compositing environment. Platform availability also requires attention: one official listing describes the app as designed for iPhone, while another documents Mac compatibility. Choose Vivid Glam for accessible beauty edits, avatars, and image-to-video effects on Apple devices; choose an alternative when structured editing depth, broader ecosystem connections, or advanced file support matter more.
