Our verdict on Vaulty
Vaulty is an Android app for hiding selected photos and videos from the device’s public gallery behind a PIN or password. It is aimed at people who want a personal privacy tool for sensitive media or documents, with support for multiple custom-named vaults, album organization, batch hiding, and instant hiding. A built-in media player, zoom, slideshow, and private camera keep viewing and capture inside the app.
The free offering covers a substantial set of privacy features, including a decoy vault with a separate PIN, intruder alerts that capture a photo after an incorrect password, and Google Drive backup and restore. The app is free with advertising, while Vaulty Pro provides an ad-free experience and additional security features. That makes the product most suitable for Android users who want a traditional vault without an upfront paid requirement and who value both local organization and cloud backup.
Vaulty’s platform fit is focused rather than broad: the official website describes it as Android-only, with iOS coming soon. Google Drive is the named integration, and the app’s feature set stays centered on private media storage, gallery control, playback, and organization rather than a wider device ecosystem. Choose Vaulty if you want multiple vaults, decoy access, intruder capture, private-camera capture, and backup in one Android app. Choose an alternative if using iOS or a cross-platform vault is essential.
