Our verdict on Keepsafe Photo Vault
Keepsafe Photo Vault is a mobile privacy app for storing private photos, videos, files and documents behind PIN, fingerprint, Touch ID or Face ID protection. It is designed for iPhone, iPad and Android users who want more control than a standard photo gallery provides, including private storage, album organization and device space management. The free Basic tier covers core access protection, while Premium adds expanded capacity and deeper privacy controls.
The pricing structure is straightforward: Basic is free and includes a PIN locking screen, fingerprint or Touch ID support and facedown lock. Premium is offered monthly or yearly, with both paid plans supporting up to 10,000 items, deleted-file restoration, break-in attempt tracking and phone-space saving. A 30-day Premium trial is also available. The free tier supports up to 200 items, so users with larger libraries or a need for recovery and intrusion evidence will need Premium.
Its standout strength is the breadth of controls in one mobile vault. Encrypted private-cloud backup and synchronization protect access across supported mobile devices, while a separate-PIN decoy vault, intruder alerts with attempted-access evidence, a private camera and individually locked albums address different privacy situations. Space Saver compression keeps originals in the cloud, and facedown auto-lock adds a quick physical privacy measure. Keepsafe Photo Vault is a strong fit for mobile users who want layered vault controls and recovery options. Users seeking desktop-focused workflows or storage beyond Premium’s 10,000-item limit should consider a more specialized alternative.
