Our verdict on Upwave

Upwave brings project boards, task management, collaboration, and repeatable workflows into a cloud work management suite. It is aimed at teams that want visual ways to organize work, from small companies to multi-team organizations and enterprises. Tasks can be assigned and split into subtasks, with start and due dates; teams can communicate through comments, mentions, notifications, and task following. Guest and spectator roles provide access for people outside the core team, while mobile apps and an API extend the service beyond its web interface.

The plan structure moves from project-level basics toward broader team oversight. Basic includes unlimited projects, tasks, and subtasks, board, table, and calendar views, predefined templates, project reports, mobile apps, and basic support. Business adds unlimited teams, team reports and a calendar, custom templates, time tracking and estimation, a timeline view, and a project portfolio overview. Enterprise focuses on additional assistance and service: invoice payment, onboarding and migration assistance, a dedicated account manager, and phone or video support within 12 hours. Upwave has no free plan, but offers a 14-day trial without requiring a card. The published plans include numeric amounts in the Help Center pricing article; the current pricing page text does not display those amounts.

Its integration list includes Google Workspace, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Gmail, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Outlook Calendar, Slack, Dropbox, Okta, and Zapier. Workflow templates and custom fields suit teams formalizing recurring processes, while project, team, progress, time, and portfolio reports provide visibility at different levels. That breadth can serve teams coordinating several projects, but Basic centers on project reports; buyers needing team-level tracking, time tools, or portfolio oversight must consider Business. Upwave fits organizations that value visual boards and reporting across teams, but may not suit buyers looking for a free plan or only a lightweight task list.
