Our verdict on Unibox

Unibox brings multiple Google Workspace addresses, such as support@, billing@, and ops@, into a shared queue. Teams can assign and route messages, add internal notes, track statuses, and snooze threads. It is aimed at Google Workspace teams that need shared handling without moving mailboxes: it connects through OAuth and reads mail through the Gmail API, while teammates sign in with their own Google accounts. Admins manage aliases, roles, assignments, and audit records.

Routing and team controls are central to the product. Aliases can be assigned to a named owner, round-robin, or load-balanced, and visual workflows can assign threads or call APIs. Internal notes are visible only to teammates; tags, custom statuses, and snooze support ongoing triage. Reply templates include approved variables or placeholders. AI features include suggested replies, auto-labeling, and thread summaries, but a person must approve replies before sending. Searchable audit logs can be exported as CSV. Integrations are limited to Google Workspace, Gmail API, and Google Directory API, so teams using other mail platforms should look elsewhere.

Pricing is per workspace, not per user, with a 14-day free trial. Starter costs $49 per month for 1 domain and up to 5 aliases, with unlimited team members, internal notes, tags, statuses, snooze, and a 90-day audit log. Growth is $99 per month for 3 domains and up to 20 aliases, adding AI-suggested replies, templates, and workflows with manual and reply triggers. Agency costs $249 per month and adds unlimited domains and aliases, multi-client workspace switching, white-labeled customer login, SLA and dedicated support, and onboarding and migration help. Unibox fits teams committed to Google Workspace that value controlled AI assistance; it is a poor fit for teams needing broader mail-platform support or mobile apps.
