UltiHash review
A deduplicated storage platform for self-hosted analytics and lakehouse workloads.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
UltiHash provides S3-compatible object storage for AI, machine learning, analytics, and data lakehouse workloads. It is aimed at developers, storage administrators, DevOps teams, and organizations managing large or frequently accessed datasets. Deployment spans a managed Serverless service hosted in EU infrastructure and a Kubernetes-native Self-Hosted option for cloud, VPC, or on-premises environments. Core capabilities include binary-level deduplication, object versioning, object locking, policy-based access control, Reed-Solomon erasure coding, range-based reads, and resumable downloads.
The pricing structure covers both testing and production-oriented storage needs. The Self-Hosted Test license is free, supports up to 10 TiB, and is intended for testing and proof-of-concept use. Self-Hosted Pay-as-you-go costs $10.40 per TiB per month with monthly billing and charges per GiB per hour for elastic workloads. Self-Hosted Subscription costs $7.20 per TiB per month with annual billing and offers commitment discounts for stable demand. Managed Serverless plans are priced monthly in EUR per GB: AWS costs €0.15 for 1 TB, €0.12 for 5 TB, and €0.10 for 10 TB; Hetzner costs €0.29 for 1 TB and €0.23 for 5 TB. A 7-day trial is also available.
UltiHash fits data teams that want storage controls alongside established analytics and streaming tools. Integrations include Airflow, AWS Glue, Delta Lake, Iceberg, Icechunk, Kafka, Neo4j, Presto, PySpark, Trino, and vector databases. Its S3-compatible API supports broad platform integration, while policy-based access control and SOC 2 and GDPR compliance support organizational requirements. The trade-offs are clear: the free license is positioned for testing, the product is not open source, and support is not available 24/7. Choose UltiHash for deduplicated self-hosted analytics storage or managed EU-hosted S3-compatible storage; choose an alternative if open-source software or round-the-clock support is essential.
