Our verdict on UCals

UCals is a macOS desktop AI calendar assistant for people who manage work and personal schedules through conversation. It can create, move, cancel, and modify events, including schedules for meals, exercise, travel, lessons, and free time. Natural-language commands are the central interaction, while multi-calendar support connects Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook through two-way synchronization. Zoom, Claude Desktop, and Cursor are also listed integrations.

Its strongest fit is calendar maintenance rather than autonomous planning. UCals supports bulk calendar changes, conflict detection, travel-time handling, linked events, learned scheduling preferences, per-day event customization, and undo for calendar changes. Multi-currency cost tracking adds a useful layer for events with financial details. The published plans show Monthly and Annual options, each with unlimited AI commands, Google, Apple, and Outlook two-way sync, conflict detection and travel time, and ICS export. A 14-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan.

The main trade-off is platform scope: UCals is for macOS users, with mobile applications in development, so it is not suited to people who need a mobile-first or cross-platform calendar assistant today. It also does not automatically schedule tasks, which makes it a weaker choice for users seeking an assistant that independently arranges work. Choose UCals if you want direct conversational control over multiple calendars and detailed event changes from a Mac. Consider another product if automatic task scheduling, broader platform availability, or a free tier is central to your decision.
