Tresorit review
A privacy-focused cloud storage service with strong sharing and business controls.

Tresorit is a cloud storage and content collaboration service for individuals, professionals, and organizations handling confidential information. It combines end-to-end encrypted storage with file synchronization, secure link sharing, file requests, version restoration, document scanning, and device-wipe controls. Access is available through web browsers, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. Its zero-knowledge encryption architecture is designed so Tresorit cannot access users’ files or encryption keys, making it particularly suited to teams that prioritize privacy and controlled information sharing.
The plan structure covers personal and business use. The free Basic plan includes 3 GB of encrypted storage, a 500 MB maximum file size, and up to two connected devices, but no file version history. Personal Lite costs €3.99 per user per month when billed monthly and provides 50 GB, a 2 GB file-size limit, five previous versions, and synchronization across two devices. Personal Essential increases storage to 1 TB and supports ten devices and ten previous versions, while Personal Pro provides 4 TB and file requests. Professional adds audit logs and custom branding. Business plans add larger storage allocations, custom admin policies, SSO, advanced link tracking, provisioning, custom deployments, account management, priority support, and custom data residency options. A 14-day free trial is also available.
Tresorit’s platform coverage is broad for a cloud storage service, with desktop, mobile, and browser access plus automatic camera upload and mobile document scanning. Encrypted links and file requests support external collaboration without reducing the focus on access control. Gmail and Microsoft Outlook are listed integrations. The main trade-off is that entry-level limits are restrictive for larger files, frequent version recovery, or more than two devices. Teams needing encryption, administrative controls, and detailed sharing options should consider Tresorit; users seeking a simpler service for large everyday storage or a wider integration ecosystem may prefer an alternative.
