Our verdict on TorGuard
TorGuard is a paid VPN service from VPNetworks LLC, founded in 2012, that encrypts internet traffic and masks IP addresses. It is aimed at individuals, torrent users, travelers, and businesses needing private internet access, secure remote connectivity, or access to region-restricted content. The service supports up to 8 simultaneous devices and offers applications and tools across web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and Chrome.
Its core feature set is particularly relevant to torrenting and users who need more control over their connections. TorGuard includes P2P and torrent support, port forwarding, dedicated IP options, streaming IP support, stealth VPN, and traffic obfuscation. WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IKEv2 protocols are supported alongside AES-256 encryption, a kill switch, DNS leak protection, and IP address masking. This gives the service a broader toolkit than a VPN focused only on basic encrypted browsing.
The published plans show Anonymous VPN Standard with unlimited bandwidth, servers in 55+ countries, a static IP pool, a zero logs policy, and 24/7 support. Anonymous VPN Pro adds a streaming IP and priority support while retaining unlimited bandwidth, servers in 55+ countries, and a zero logs policy. A 7-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan. TorGuard suits users prioritizing torrenting, port forwarding, streaming IP access, or dedicated IP options; users who only want a free VPN should choose another service.
