TOPdesk is service management software for IT and other internal service teams. It brings incident and request handling, a knowledge base, self-service portals, asset management, CMDB records, dashboards, reporting and configurable workflows into one platform. Facilities, HR and other enterprise service functions can also use forms, processes and portals for their work. The product is primarily cloud-based, while self-hosted deployment is also supported, with web, iOS and Android access available.

Pricing is structured across three monthly, per-agent plans. Essential costs £51 per agent per month and includes Incident Management, Asset Management, a Self-Service Portal, a Knowledge Base, and Dashboard & Reporting. Engaged costs £72 and adds Change Management, Contract and SLA Management, Operations Management, Problem Management, and AI Incident Categorization. Excellent costs £101 and adds Project Management, Webshop, Live chat, Benchmark reporting, and an AI Writing Assistant. There is no free plan, so smaller teams should weigh the entry price against the number of service areas they need to manage.

The main strength is breadth: TOPdesk combines ticketing, service-level agreements, approval workflows, change and request management, mobile incident and task management, and searchable articles with an open API and integrations. Connections include Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Azure DevOps, Salesforce, Slack, WhatsApp, DocuSign, Zapier and others. Its 1993 founding year also gives it a long operating history. Choose TOPdesk when a mature team needs a wide ITSM and internal service platform; consider a narrower tool if the requirement is only basic ticket handling at a lower starting price.
