Toad for Oracle is a desktop client for Oracle database developers and DBAs. It combines SQL and PL/SQL editing with debugging, schema browsing, graphical query building, editable data grids, comparison tools, automation, profiling, code analysis, and SQL optimization. The product supports Oracle databases deployed on premises and in the cloud, with connections through Oracle client configurations or clientless connectivity. It fits teams that want a broad Oracle-focused workspace rather than separate tools for development, administration, and performance work.
The subscription structure divides capabilities by role and depth. The Base Subscription covers the SQL and PL/SQL editor, schema browser, graphical query builder, SQL history, and task automation. Pro adds test data generation, data subsetting and masking, code quality analysis, and Sensitive Data Awareness. Pro DB Admin adds database monitoring, health checks, synchronization, trace file browsing, and LogMiner.
