Our verdict on TIBCO Mashery
TIBCO Mashery, now referred to as TIBCO Cloud API Management, is an API management suite supported by Boomi. It is designed for organizations that publish APIs to internal or external developers and need controls for applications, subscriptions, authentication, plans, rate limits, and quotas. Its audience is primarily mid-market and enterprise teams building an established API product or portal program rather than small groups seeking a lightweight gateway.
The platform covers the API operating cycle from design and gateway publication through version promotion across environments. A developer portal presents a published API catalog, while product, plan, application, and subscription capabilities provide a structure for managing consumers. API-key authentication and authorization policies, message-size limits, rate limits, and quota controls address access management. Monitoring tracks call counts, successes, authentication types, and quota status. Deployment options span cloud and self-hosted environments, with services and proxies exposed through cloud or local runtimes.
Its plan structure expands from Boomi API Management Standard into Professional, Professional Plus, Enterprise, Enterprise Plus, and Pay-As-You-Go.
