Thelemail is a managed encrypted email service for individuals, households, domain owners, and founder-run teams. It combines @thelemail.com mailboxes with custom-domain hosting, encrypted mailbox storage, aliases, shared addresses, managed delivery, and data export. Access is available through the web, macOS, iOS, and Android, making it suited to people who want private email without operating their own mail server.

Pricing is structured around individual and household use. The Free plan provides one mailbox, 1 GB of storage, and an @thelemail.com address with no payment method or expiry. Free Family supports up to six people with 1 GB per person and one shared alias. Personal costs €2 per month or €24 per year for one mailbox, 15 GB, one custom domain, unlimited aliases, and zero-access storage. Personal Plus costs €4 per month or €48 per year and increases storage to 50 GB and custom domains to three. Family costs €5 per month or €60 per year, supports up to six mailboxes with 10 GB per mailbox, includes two custom domains, and adds shared household addresses.

Privacy features include end-to-end encryption between Thelemail accounts and zero-access encryption for stored mailbox content. For compatible external recipients, Thelemail supports OpenPGP and WKD; other external email uses standard SMTP with TLS where supported. DNS setup, managed receiving and sending, spam classification, two-factor authentication, mailbox import, and standard MBOX export make the service practical for moving an existing mailbox or hosting a domain. Choose Thelemail for affordable family coverage, custom-domain email, and a managed encrypted setup. It is less suitable for users who require every external message to be end-to-end encrypted regardless of recipient compatibility.
