Tessabyte review
Low-cost client-server testing with scheduled runs, detailed metrics, and perpetual licensing.

Tessabyte is a client-server network performance testing tool for wired and wireless environments. It is designed for network engineers, IT teams, field technicians, and managed service providers that need to benchmark links, troubleshoot bottlenecks, validate upgrades, or assess network capacity. Tests can measure TCP and UDP throughput, packet loss, jitter, round-trip time, and QoS behavior between selected endpoints, with support for IPv4 and IPv6.
Pricing uses perpetual licenses rather than subscriptions. The Tessabyte Server component is free and can be installed on Windows, macOS, or Linux machines. The 1-user license costs $39 USD one-time, includes Windows and macOS client access, and covers one year of updates and technical support. That license may be installed on up to three personal machines. Three-user, 5-user, 10-user, and 25-user licenses are available with volume pricing. A 30-day trial is available for the Windows and macOS client, while the server component remains free.
For recurring operational checks, Tessabyte combines scheduled tests with multiple-client testing, custom TCP and UDP payload sizes, and HTML, CSV, and text report generation. Console mode and command-line automation support scripted workflows, while Docker is the listed integration. The product runs in a self-hosted setup across Windows, macOS, Linux, and iOS/iPadOS client environments. Choose Tessabyte when low upfront cost, active network measurements, scheduled testing, and perpetual licensing matter. Teams needing a broader integration ecosystem or a hosted service should consider alternatives.
