Tencent Cloud Web Application Firewall is a managed web-security service for organizations protecting websites, web services and APIs. Available as SaaS WAF or Cloud Native WAF, it filters web attacks and intrusion attempts while offering controls for crawlers, malicious bots and other access requests. The combination of web and API protection makes it relevant to teams that want more than basic request filtering.
Its feature set reaches into remediation and traffic management: virtual patching addresses high-risk and zero-day vulnerabilities, while rate and human-machine controls help manage CC attacks. Custom rules can target IP addresses, URLs, referers, POST parameters and regions. Data-leakage prevention supports masking and replacement rules, and webpage tampering prevention uses cached pages. API asset discovery and API security controls extend coverage beyond websites.
