Our verdict on TenantAlert
TenantAlert is a paid tenant-screening service for landlords, property managers, property owners, brokers, and multifamily operators. It combines credit reporting, criminal and eviction searches, identity checks, employment and income verification, rental-history references, and online applications. The service also supports adverse decision letters and FCRA-oriented workflows, making it suitable for rental providers that want more than a basic credit check.
Pricing is structured as one-time screening packages. Basic costs $24.95 and includes a credit report, credit score, previous-address tenant history, and TeleCheck check verification. Plus costs $29.95 and adds the LeaseGuarantee Analyzer and eviction information. Pro costs $39.95, while Premier costs $49.95; their listed highlights include the same credit, address-history, TeleCheck, LeaseGuarantee Analyzer, and eviction features. TenantAlert also states that landlords can have the applicant billed, which can make the report free to the landlord under that payment arrangement, without creating a separate $0 plan.
Its main distinction is breadth across screening and verification workflows. TenantAlert covers all three major credit bureaus, nationwide criminal and eviction-history searches, SSN fraud and identity-data verification, employment details such as salary and employment dates, landlord and rental-history verification, and alias-name history. Web access, API integration, and white-label screening support give portfolios multiple delivery options. Founded in 1988, the service fits organizations that need broad screening coverage and system integration. It may be less suitable for teams that prefer a monthly subscription model or only need a simple, single-purpose check.
