TransUnion SmartMove is an online tenant-screening service for independent property owners and smaller property managers. Its consent-based process covers applicant credit information, criminal background reports, eviction-related proceedings, income insights, and identity checks. Most reports are delivered the same day after applicant identity verification. Property owners can also choose whether they or the applicant pays where permitted.
SmartMove uses pay-as-you-go pricing, with plans starting at $25 per report. SmartCheck Basic and Background Check Basic each include ResidentScore and a Criminal Background Report. SmartCheck Plus costs $40 per report and adds a Credit Report and Eviction Related Report. SmartCheck Premium costs $49 per report and adds Income Insights and Identity Check reports.
