A capable, affordable ITAM choice for teams comfortable running software on their own server.

Tagaris is a self-hosted IT asset register for internal IT teams, businesses, schools, charities, homelabs and managed service providers. It covers hardware and software assets, licences, warranties, assignments, locations, stock and asset history. The product runs with Docker on the customer's server and provides a free tier for one administrator with unlimited assets, making it a practical fit for teams that want control over deployment and data.
Pricing is structured around a permanent Free plan and Team plans. Free includes core asset management, software licence tracking, QR labels, built-in reports, scheduled backups and two-factor authentication. Team 5 users costs £199 per year or £22 per month, while Team 10 users costs £399 per year or £45 per month. Team 25 users costs £799 per year or £89 per month, and Team 50 users costs £1,299 per year annually. Team plans add multiple users, role-based access, Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on, audit logging, custom reports and Jira ticketing. A 30-day free trial is also available.
Its ecosystem is well suited to mixed IT environments. CSV import includes column mapping and a dry-run preview, while CSV and JSON export support portability. Intune and Jamf device synchronisation can connect endpoint records to the asset register, and integrations include Entra ID, Jira Cloud, SMTP, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft Teams, calendar feeds and the REST API. Physical audit and check-in/check-out workflows, renewal reminders, depreciation, disposals and encrypted backup restore add operational depth. Choose Tagaris if self-hosting and broad asset administration matter; consider another option if Android support or barcode scanning is central to the workflow.
