Sysax Multi Server is Windows server software for receiving, distributing, and managing files over FTP, FTPS, SFTP, HTTP, and HTTPS. It suits personal users, small organizations, and enterprises that need private file transfers on Windows, particularly teams that want browser-based administration rather than management limited to the server itself. It can run as a Windows service with automatic startup, and it supports local accounts, Windows and LDAP Active Directory authentication, ODBC databases, Cisco Duo Security, and RADIUS.

The edition structure covers both non-commercial and commercial deployments. A free Personal Edition is available for non-commercial use, and a 30-day free trial is listed. Commercial Standard Edition plans are one-time purchases: $297 for one year of updates and support, $407 for two years, or $517 for three years. These plans include commercial use and FTP, FTPS, SFTP, Telnet, and SSH2 Secure Shell support. Professional Edition costs $397, $537, or $677 for one, two, or three years of updates and support, adding web-based remote administration and an administration API. Enterprise Edition costs $697 for one year or $937 for two years, with simultaneous multi-protocol access and a remote administration API. The license itself does not expire.

Its strongest differentiator is administrative and operational depth in a Windows environment. Event-triggered FTP scripting can respond to logins and file operations, while activity logs can be written to files and a database. SSH port forwarding and browser-based file transfer extend its utility beyond basic FTP hosting. The main constraint is scale: concurrent connections are limited to 10. Organizations needing higher connection capacity should evaluate alternatives, while teams that value protocol breadth, directory or database authentication, automation, and browser administration have a clear reason to choose Sysax Multi Server.
