Our verdict on Sussex Virtual Fax
Sussex Virtual Fax is an online fax service for businesses that want to send and receive faxes through an existing email application. It supports fax-to-email for receiving documents and email-to-fax for sending them, with a choice of local or toll-free fax numbers. Faxes can be sent to machines worldwide, and the service does not require a local phone line or new fax software. It is suited to organizations that want a basic virtual fax workflow without adding dedicated equipment.
The published plans show two monthly options. The Local fax number plan costs $9.95 per month and includes fax-to-email, email-to-fax, and the first 150 incoming pages. The Toll-free fax number plan costs $11.95 per month and includes the same features and incoming-page allowance. Outgoing faxes are charged per page on both plans, while incoming pages are charged after the included allowance. That structure makes the service easy to compare for light inbound use, but total monthly spending can rise with frequent outbound or higher-volume inbound faxing.
Its main strength is a focused email-based workflow: users can work through an existing email application, choose a virtual number, send internationally, and receive detailed confirmation reports. The tradeoff is a narrower feature focus than services built around broader software ecosystems or more advanced workflow requirements. Sussex Virtual Fax fits small businesses and teams that primarily need straightforward local or toll-free faxing. Organizations seeking a wider set of integrations, more extensive platform features, or pricing centered on bundled outbound pages should consider alternatives with those priorities.
