Our verdict on Street Fighter 6
Street Fighter 6 brings together arcade-style fighting, a single-player story and online competition. Its three modes serve different interests: Fighting Ground focuses on combat, World Tour follows an avatar exploring Metro City and beyond, and Battle Hub gives players a place to meet and compete. Fighting fans looking for both solo and multiplayer options will find a broad mix here, while players focused only on a story campaign may prefer a more dedicated adventure game.
Combat offers Classic, Modern and Dynamic control types, alongside the Drive System gauge and its multiple combat options. That mix gives players several ways to approach fights without narrowing the game to one control style. World Tour adds exploration and avatar progression to the package, while Battle Hub shifts attention toward player-versus-player play. The published mode list includes single-player, local multiplayer and online multiplayer, but not online co-op; buyers seeking cooperative online play should look elsewhere.
The Standard Edition is a paid, one-time purchase and includes the base game; optional in-game purchases are also available. Console availability spans PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, with PC also listed. On PlayStation, online play supports up to 16 players. The ESRB rating is Teen. Choose Street Fighter 6 if you want fighting combat with both solo exploration and competitive online options; it is less suited to players whose priority is online co-op or a game centered solely on story.
