Our verdict on SpiraTest

SpiraTest is Inflectra’s test management platform for software testing and quality assurance teams. It brings requirements, test cases, test sets, test runs, defects, releases and reporting into one environment. Teams can use requirements traceability, manual execution with step-level results, automated and exploratory testing, test scheduling, configurable workflows, dashboards, analytics and electronic signatures. It is suited to organizations coordinating release and QA work across multiple projects, particularly where traceability and process control matter.

Pricing is based on concurrent users rather than named seats. The 3-User Cloud plan costs $134.26 per month for 1–3 concurrent users, while the 5-User Cloud plan costs $215.24 per month for 4–5 concurrent users. The 10-User Cloud plan costs $389.49 per month for 6–10 concurrent users, and the 20-User Cloud plan costs $751.31 per month for 11–20 concurrent users. Each listed tier includes unlimited named users and projects. A 30-day trial is available, and the product is paid rather than free. This structure can work for larger teams with many occasional contributors, but the starting price is a significant commitment for small QA groups.

SpiraTest also fits teams with established development and automation workflows. Integrations include Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Rapise, UFT, TestComplete, Ranorex and Selenium, while versioned REST and SOAP APIs support broader connections. Deployment options include a browser-based hosted service and self-hosted installation, with web, iOS and Android availability. Choose SpiraTest when release planning, traceability, defect linkage, reporting and workflow configuration need to share one system. Smaller teams seeking a lower-cost or narrower test-case tool may find its breadth and pricing harder to justify.
