Our verdict on SpeedyPrep

SpeedyPrep offers self-paced online courses for students preparing for CLEP, DSST, and UExcel credit-by-examination tests. Its flashcard-style questions ask learners to fill in blanks, then provide explanations and related short videos. The format may suit college students, working adults, high school and homeschool students, and military members seeking college credit through exams, particularly those who prefer repeated subject practice over a broad study platform.

Practice is the product’s defining strength. Learners can repeat questions to build mastery, review missed questions, and follow a progress bar that tracks correctly answered questions. Practice exams and additional study resources extend the routine beyond individual prompts. A subscription provides access to available subjects, and the Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly plans each include unlimited access to all courses, mobile-device study access, exams and resources, and the progress bar. The money-back guarantee is conditional: eligibility requires reaching 90% progress and failing the corresponding CLEP or DSST exam.

SpeedyPrep’s fit is intentionally specific: the listed courses address three exam programs, rather than a wide range of general test-preparation needs. The service is web-based, with mobile-device study access, and email and phone support are available; support is not described as around-the-clock. Choose it if your exam is covered and you want a self-paced cycle of prompts, explanations, missed-question review, and practice exams. If you need preparation for a different exam or a broader platform, this focused course approach may not be the right match.
