Our verdict on Speakap
Speakap is an employee experience and intranet platform for frontline and office teams. It combines employee profiles and directory search with feeds, news, messaging, events, polls, groups, communities, and knowledge-sharing pages. Administrators can target communications by department, location, role, team, or group, while permissions, acknowledgement tracking, analytics, synchronization, and single sign-on support structured internal communication. Its mobile-first positioning makes it a fit for distributed frontline teams that need both communication and employee journeys.
Pricing is quote-based across three tiers. Basic covers the core intranet experience, including a timeline with polls, video, images, and files; news with acknowledgement; people profiles and directory; role-based permissions; chats; and events. Premium adds branded mobile apps and platform options, HR system synchronization, workforce analytics, automatic translation, Dynamic Pages, and single sign-on. Premium Plus adds a custom domain, task management, Employee Journeys, advanced workforce analytics, an Integrations Marketplace and Open API, plus Active Directory/SSO. Contracts are annual, making the tier structure clear even though the plans are not positioned as self-serve purchases.
Speakap also has broad platform and ecosystem coverage. Teams can access it through the web, iOS, Android, and API, with integrations for HR systems, Google Workspace, Google Drive, SharePoint, 7Shifts, UKG, tamigo, Jotform, SurveyMonkey, and custom APIs.
