Our verdict on Silent Phone

Silent Phone is a secure communications application for businesses, government agencies, NGOs, and other organizations handling sensitive conversations. It combines end-to-end encrypted voice and video calling with secure conferencing, group messaging, file transfers, voice memos, delivery receipts, read receipts, and configurable message deletion. Teams can also communicate with external partners through Circle-in-Circle. The product is aimed at organizations that need protected conversations alongside administrative control over users and devices.

Its standout strength is the breadth of controls around confidential communication. Conference calls use on-device audio mixing, while Security Words help protect against man-in-the-middle attacks. Configurable burn timers range from one minute to 90 days, and messages can be deleted from all participants' devices. Silent Manager adds web-based administration for users, groups, plans, devices, policies, and deployment, including remote device wiping and zero-touch deployment. These capabilities make Silent Phone a strong fit for teams where data handling and device lifecycle management matter as much as chat functionality.

The broader platform fit is also important. Silent Phone supports SIEM systems, mobile device management, Active Directory, OpenID Connect, Active Directory Federation Services, and other identity providers.
