Our verdict on ShareMail
ShareMail adds team coordination tools to Gmail while leaving Gmail as the email system of record. It is aimed at small teams that need to share responsibility for customer email without moving mail delivery or storage elsewhere. Conversations can be assigned, discussed with internal comments and @mentions, and drafted collaboratively; shared drafts are locked to the assignee. The product also offers search across customer email and internal comments, plus templates, signatures, scheduled sending, and undo-send. It supports web and Android, though the Android app is in beta testing.
According to the vendor's monthly pricing, Starter costs $6 per user and includes up to 3 users, 1 shared inbox plus personal inboxes, all collaboration features, inbox analytics, two-way Gmail sync, and human support. Team costs $12 per user per month and adds unlimited shared inboxes and users, free collaborator seats, and unlimited rules, templates, and tags; seats can be reduced with prorating. Business costs $19 per user per month and includes Team features, analytics by teammate, priority support with screen sharing, and an uptime SLA. SSO/SAML is marked as coming at launch. A 14-day free trial is offered, but there is no free plan.
The practical fit is narrow by design: Gmail is the supported mail platform, with integrations listed for Stripe, Slack, and Discord. Rules cover tagging, assignment, round-robin distribution, and notifications, which can help teams route conversations without leaving the Gmail workflow.
