Our verdict on SHAREit
SHAREit is a freemium file-transfer application for consumers moving or sharing photos, videos, documents, apps, games, music and other files across personal devices. It supports peer-to-peer transfers between Android, iOS, Windows and macOS, including mobile-to-computer sharing without mobile-data usage. Phone cloning also supports migration of contacts, apps and media, making the product particularly relevant when changing phones or coordinating content across several device types.
Its breadth extends beyond basic transfer. A file manager helps with moving and deleting files, while folder and multi-file selection support larger batches. The application also includes a media player, video and photo downloader, PDF-to-image and image-to-PDF conversion, and a Safebox for hiding and encrypting photos and videos. This combination makes SHAREit more suitable for personal content management than a narrowly focused file-delivery utility.
